I'm blessed to be part of a great group of Fibre Artists. We challenge each other to create a new exhibit to go on tour around the country in galleries and one of those is our "Up Close" challenge. The challenge was to look at something or someone with you full attention and take note of the things you might not of noticed before. Well for me it was the beautiful African Daisy in my garden. I added my zoom lens onto my phone, and once focused I saw the delicate layers that couldn't see with the naked eye! It was mesmerising! To create this piece, I used fabric, paint, merino wool, machine and hand stitching. It was a fun challenge and of course I do small to it was right in my wheelhouse!
Until next time keep creating!
